As part of the "Monuments of Culture Month" and the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, an exhibition by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage has been opened at the Elbasan Ethnographic Museum.
The exhibition brought to the public graphic materials of cultural monuments which are evidence of our rich heritage.
Specialist Andrea Pambuku says that the main goal is the promotion of cultural heritage.
"We are located in Elbasan since we are dealing with a cultural heritage monument, but also in terms of its unique values. Our exhibition "Monuments Month" is an initiative alongside September, which is the month of monuments and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the homeland, it is an initiative of IKTK to highlight photographs and graphics that have been created since the beginning of the institute", said Andrea Pambuku , specialist at the National Institute of Cultural Heritage.
With this exhibition, the aim is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of Albania, serving as a bridge between the rich past and the new generations.
"This serves to reveal and recognize these monuments, but it is more a matter of education. In fact, here is a special environment because this environment itself is a monument of the cultural heritage of Elbasan. It is an exhibition that arouses a lot of interest and as you can see even in these moments that attend it and see all this rich heritage that we have as a nation", said Artur Guni, director of the Tourism and Culture Agency, Elbasan Municipality.
Elbasan is one of the richest archaeological regions and therefore cultural monuments, which has increased visitors' interest in them./Euronews
