"The Albanian language will soon be spoken on the Italian Public Radio and Television Rai", so writes the Center of Studies and Publications for Arbëreshët , on its website.
Radio Television Public Italian has decided to offer programming in the Albanian language of Arbëresh. This decision was taken in the framework of the meeting of July 3, 2023 in the Senate of the Italian Republic in Rome, in the "Giustiniani" Palace, where a study was conducted on education and communication for the constitutional protection of minorities, historical Arberian linguistics in Italy.
This proposal was presented by the senator of "Forza Italia", Maurizio Gasparri, which guarantees that for the next five years, the Italian Radio Television will offer a program for the Arberes located in Calabria, Basilicata, Puglia, Molise, Campania, Abruzzo and Sicily.
RAI, underlines the resolution in article 9 of the service contract to support the integration, protection and valorization of linguistic minorities, the guarantee of the production and distribution of radio and television broadcasts, as well as audiovisual content, in German and Latin for the autonomous province is required.

With this resolution, RAI is obliged to provide technical quality and guarantee the digitization of audiovisual archives, which will later be transformed into reference literature in educational institutions and national associations.
