
Rosita Missoni, the famous fashion designer, passed away at the age of 93. She died on Wednesday January 1 at her home in Sumirago, northern Italy.
The stylist, with her husband Ottavio, created one of the most iconic fashion houses in the world, that of 'Missoni'.
Her death was confirmed by Angela Mariani, Missoni's communications manager.
Rosita and Ottavio, known for the colorful striped designs that characterized the house of Missoni, began their joint journey in fashion in 1953.
From a small family business, the house of Missoni became one of the most important ateliers in the world, making Milan the capital of Italian high-end fashion.
