The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, stated that the government will continue to support the Transport Association, depending on the situation in international markets and fluctuations in fuel prices.
Karakaçi recalled that a few weeks ago the government approved a 50 lek subsidy per liter of fuel for the transportation sector, emphasizing that the support measures will be applied starting in March.
"2-3 weeks ago, I announced the subsidy of 50 lek per liter. We committed to having support measures, which were approved and regardless of the time of approval, the application would start in March ," said the minister.
He added that meetings will be held again with representatives of the Transport Association to analyze developments on international stock exchanges and their impact on fuel prices.
"Now we will sit down again with the Transport Association, we will see what happens with the stock exchanges, because there is a relaxation of prices. If necessary, we will be with the Transport Association to take the necessary measures," said Karakaçi.
