During a meeting with Albanians living in Great Britain, as part of the campaign for the May 11 elections, Lulzim Basha said that the big difference between the Euro-Atlantic Coalition with number 4 and the government of Edi Rama is the fight against corruption. He expressed his commitment to establishing a stolen assets recovery unit, which will track down thieves who have enriched themselves through politics and return the stolen assets to Albanians.
" Edi Rama's only program is 7x7, 313. Because if it were different, he would tell us why he has friends there. He doesn't even agree to tell me where his friends are. Yes, and Durrës is an option. Durrës is the only city in the world that has two mayors, both of Durrës and of Tirana. Yes, because by not answering this question, he thinks that Albanians will forget. They won't forget.
Our commitment on June 1st is the establishment of the stolen assets recovery unit. Stolen assets of Albanians. And these assets, as you know very well, our brothers and sisters in London, are not only in Albania, they are not only in Tirana or on the coast, they are also outside Albania. You know very well.
They are here in London too. Shops, real estate. How many shops can Albanian politicians buy in London with 2 thousand euros a month? How many successful businesses can you have in London with 1800 euros a month? It's because the prices here are lower than in Puka. Or not? I know that in Britain, it's a little more expensive than in Puka, right? Well, the stolen assets recovery unit has this task: To track down with active investigative means the assets of corrupt Albanian politicians that are not actually their assets, they are your assets, they are the assets of your relatives.
And with this unity and this policy, we have one and only one goal: the stolen assets of Albanians, your stolen assets, the stolen taxes of you and your families to be returned to you, because you and only you are the true owners of these assets. I stopped at the fight against corruption because it is indisputably the first and insurmountable difference between the Euro-Atlantic Coalition number 4 on the ballot, and of course Edi Rama and his government and his corrupt ministers. But also to others, even to those who want to recycle the corruption racket. Some of them are in arrest, precisely for corruption and concealment of assets, they have been put on the list for deputies. I want to tell some of the friends I have had here in this hall and I wish I had them again, that they have lost their way a little, be careful. Be careful with another list because they promise you that you are voting for the DP, but in fact you are voting for Ilir Meta. "Don't make this mistake because you can't look your friends, your children, or your families in the eye ," Basha said.
