Will there be tensions in the opposition protest? Balliu: Ilir Proda is

Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu spoke about today's protest organized by the DP. He stated that the protest was announced in accordance with the law and that the organizers are not required to obtain permission from the State Police, but only to make an official announcement.

In an interview with "A2 CNN", a few hours before the rally, Balliu described the State Police's stance regarding the organization of the protest as "nonsense". He accused the Director General of the Police, Ilir Proda, of attempting to provoke and escalate the situation.

The Democratic MP stressed that the protests organized by the opposition were peaceful and denied allegations of violence against police officers. According to him, there have been no such cases, while adding that citizens are under pressure and social injustice.

"The people do not commit violence. The people only defend themselves. There is no violence. There is self-defense. The reaction of citizens comes as a result of what they consider "state violence" through the violation of property and economic conditions," said the DP deputy.

Balliu stated that the protests could escalate if there is no reaction from the government to the opposition's demands.

"It is logical that there will be escalation. Everything, we do not rule out absolutely anything ," he said, emphasizing that the citizen reaction remains within the framework of self-defense.

Klevis Balliu expressed his conviction that participation in the protest will be high and increasing, while thanking citizens for, according to him, their resistance in the face of pressure and fear.
