Interior Minister Albana Koçiu has announced a new salary increase for some State Police employees.
According to her, about 720 employees, mainly part of high-risk structures, will benefit from this measure.
During the statement to the media, Koçiu announced that the salary increase is proposed for 2026 and aims to reward officers who are on the front lines of dealing with crime and high-risk situations.
"We have proposed a new salary increase for state police employees, there are 720 employees who will benefit from a further increase and it is an increase that rewards all those officers who face and are on the front lines of danger with all those who commit dangerous acts.
It is about 3 structures RENEA national security forces and operational ones. There is a salary fund that is foreseen in 2026. With the increase that these categories are receiving now, suffice it to say that a simple inspector goes to a salary of 1600 euros, while for a manager in RENEA 2300 euros. For operational forces, the rank of inspector 1200 and that of commissioner 1600 and 1700 euros. It is a salary increase policy, which shows with deeds the support that the state police employees give. And on the other hand it is an increase that enables the retention of the best employees in these police forces", said Koçiu.
