Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that during the summit of the Berlin Process in Tirana he communicated with his Greek counterpart, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

In an interview for the "Opinion" show, he said that they discussed the relations between the two countries together in a bilateral meeting. The head of the government said that in the meeting Mitsotakis also opened the case of Fredi Beleri, but that he gave the same answer that he gave publicly.

Regarding Mitsotakis' statements that this issue will cost Albania in the integration process, Rama replied that no statements are made in bilateral meetings, but they are spoken in a very informal way.

Excerpt from the interview:

Edi Rama: I don't want to make comments that I made, the story is known. We spoke at the Summit, we had a very, very open conversation as always. We also talked separately, we had a bilateral meeting. We talked, we discussed. We exchanged views. I informed him that soon the bust of his father, who is the first prime minister of Greece to visit the minority, will be inaugurated.

Blendi Fevziu: Did he open the Beler case to you?

Edi Rama : Definitely.

Blendi Fevziu : What was your answer?

Edi Rama : The same answer that I gave in public and that I have no other answer.

Blendi Fevziu : Did Mitsotakis mention to you that this will cost Albania the path of European integration?

Edi Rama : This is not the way to talk in bilateral meetings, because bilateral meetings are not meetings to make statements. In bilateral meetings, it is spoken very informally.
