Democratic Party MP, Luan Baçi, said in an interview with Euronews Albania that the DP must change the way it deals with the current regime, emphasizing that confronting Prime Minister Edi Rama is difficult.
He added that in the DP there is no need for a chairman election, as the latter should be elected by the Democrats through a vote, and not appointed. Regarding the possibility of Ervin Salianji taking the post of Secretary General of the DP, Baçi said that the vote is secret and each candidate must show his performance to gain the trust of the party members.
"Everything must be discussed together. The way we deal with this regime must change. And with this regime, with Rama there, it is difficult to deal with."
Here, the DP does not need to elect a leader, it already has a leader. The leader is elected, not appointed, the Democrats elect him, it's a matter of votes, we are all powerless when it comes to votes.
When asked if the DP could give the position of Secretary General to Ervin Salianji, Baçi replied that "the vote is secret, we have to go to the polls and we have to see the performance that everyone will have during this time when we go to the polls. But it may not be these, there may be two others to be voted on. The one who is thought to be the most correct is selected there", said Luan Baçi.
