Democrat Alesia Balliu, invited to the "TëPashoq" podcast on the "Pamfleti" YouTube channel, spoke about the attacks within the party directed at Jorida Tabaku.
Balliu said that in her perception she does not see a plot orchestrated by Berisha, but simply statements made by certain individuals out of jealousy.
Excerpt from the interview:
-A strong statement was made in the DP by Adriana Kalaja about Jorida Tabaku. Many read it as a message from Berisha because Kalaja could not have undertaken such a strong attack alone, who do you believe is hiding behind this?
Balliu : Ms. Tabaku is a democrat, but above all, she is a woman who has stood by her causes, and every word thrown against her is done because of the personal jealousy of certain individuals who want to tarnish her name.
-Doesn't Berisha have a finger?
Balliu : I cannot speak without facts. I am talking here about the vote counting process.
-We have seen materials published in the media from meetings with the Democrats about how he expressed dissatisfaction with the results of May 11, even wanting to leave until Berisha reflected and then dismissed them in vain and did not take any action. So there are also those who seem to be about to explode at one moment and then retreat. There is no revolt in the DP.
Balliu : They are individuals who are not loyal to anyone or anything, not even to themselves.
-Have you contacted other candidates who have left Berisha, anti-Berisha supporters for example?
Balliu : I am in contact with all those who are part of the Democratic Party and everyone agrees that the DP needs reformation, a change of elites.
