Activist Adriana Kalaja, who was one of the opposition candidates for Ombudsman, supported by the signatures of MPs, has challenged the Democratic leader, Sali Berisha.
The latter, despite the stance taken towards Endri Shabani, who was voted in with 85 votes to take up the position of Ombudsman, said that the DP will not take any initiative to take the matter to the Constitutional Court. But Kalaja announced through social networks that he is preparing a request to the Constitutional Court, and even a criminal report to shed light on the entire process.
" In response to the numerous and rightful questions, or even the accusations that I was used as a facade in this process, definitely yes."
Likewise, based on the numerous messages I receive from Friends and Followers or Supporters, on this occasion, I would like to inform you that in addition to the request to the Constitutional Court, I am also preparing a criminal complaint to shed light on this entire "procedure":
1. Who did the "negotiations"?
2. Who made the calls?
3. Who is the oligarch hiding behind this "negotiation"?
Etc. etc......
Full of surprises.
Until the end ,” writes Kalaja.
The issue of the election of the People's Advocate has created another clash in the DP, while some of the signatories who supported Endri Shabani as a candidate have started self-criticism, apologizing. So far it is not known which of the DP leaders initiated the collection of signatures in support of Shabani, but many of those considered loyal to Sali Berisha have their names on the list of signatories.
