Ilir Alimehmeti continues to have a completely different assessment from that of Sali Berisha or the DP leadership, in relation to the platform initiated by Ervin Salianji.
While Berisha has harshly attacked Salianji, and he even quickly left the DP Presidency where he was one of the co-opted members, for Alimehmet, the movement started by the former MP has served the Democratic Party.
Berisha describes the Salianji movement as a personal agenda, but Alimehmeti maintains that it has awakened the DP from its slumber.
From the News24 studio, Alimehmeti assessed that the majority is using power to protect itself from justice and, conversely, from SPAK.
"We are governed by people who cannot govern us, the effects are now in everyone's eyes. They only care about dealing with public funds and not governing us. We need to find a solution for Albania, it is in a national emergency."
Every opposition meeting has its own value, every meeting with other parties also has value, as long as we have a common denominator which is the overthrow of the government, every organization has value.
I have constant meetings with the leader of the DP, I cooperate with everyone in the DP and in the opposition. This is for me what everyone who deals with politics should do. If the common denominator is the same, there should be no problems. We can have different opinions on how to do the best, the important thing is to have a common denominator.
"The truth is that he was sleepy and needed to be woken up, which was achieved. He managed to get to the base," said Alimehmeti.
