The head of the parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has reacted to the arrest of Vangjush Dako after his exit from SPAK. He stands by the Prime Minister's comment.
" Rama was clear in this aspect. I want to ask the new justice that these cases that I often come here one day be closed and all the people we have reported to be brought to justice ," said Balla.
Rama said that they are proud that for the first time in the history of Albania, people connected to the government are being hit.
The evening of June 6, dawning on June 7, was the first night in prison for the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, arrested by order of SPAK for the charge of abuse of office in two cases. It is known that in the late hours of yesterday evening he left the premises of the Local Directorate of the Tirana Police, where he had been stationed since yesterday afternoon when he was arrested, to be stationed at the Security Block on "Mine Peza" street, waiting for him appeared in the Court as a security measure.
Meanwhile, it is known that until now 5 out of 10 arrest warrants issued by the prosecutor and Sotir Kllapit and signed on the morning of June 6, 2023, by the judge of GJKKO Erion Bani. In the late hours of the evening, a woman also surrendered.
For Vangjush Dako, 4 former officials of the Directorate of Urbanism of the Municipality of Durrës, and the former Director Adhurim Qehajaj, the owner of a construction company, Fiqiri Farruku, the security measure "arrest with prison" has been signed, while for three female employees a measure has been imposed of 'house arrest'.
