The Eurobarometer survey, a real public perception, almost surgical...
"Euronews Albania" has been publishing polls for several years under the name "Eurobarometer", where the author is an institute from Greece, one of the most serious in his country and in the entire region.
Almost all the polls that this body has published have been almost, almost surgical. It has thus created a tradition of accurate polling and fewer errors of public perception.
The most recent Barometer survey was a perception of the political figures who are present in the Albanian scene today, where new names were also included, such as Lapaj, Shabani, or Arlind Qori.
In this survey, the President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj was ranked as the most liked public figure with a 52% quota, followed by Edi Rama with 49%, Sali Berisha with 30%, Lulzim Basha, and finally with Ilir Meta.
This result is not at all, neither a surprise nor an anomaly. Even when the calm and quiet character of the current President of the Republic started to worry media supporters of Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta, it was seen that there is a development on the ground.
Berisha and Meta, who work with regular survey teams, saw from the beginning, a completely different behavior of the general doctor, so they started the attacks, mainly using mockery or irony without salt with actions or problems that were noticed in the protocol or the movements of the Presidency.
However, President Begaj has never responded to these attacks, even when the video of him drinking coffee without sugar because it was sweet went viral.
This trajectory of the last Barometer survey shows a very important development, which is not simply related to the person Bajram Begaj.
People in Albania are constantly looking for a "superman" in politics or in the country's institutions.
They are tired of Catalans like Sali Berisha, or conniving clowns who have "grown in their bellies" 24 hours a day, 7 days like Edi Rama.
People want a senior official who does his job and doesn't appear as a non-stop dac on the screen. They are looking for a person who is respected in his profession, and not someone who told him 'good job' before entering politics.
They are looking for people who speak calmly and normally, not demagogues who swear for 33 years that they think about people, but in reality they only think about themselves and their family.
Bajram Begaj is a person who has been fully realized in life. A doctor by profession, even a good one, head of the military hospital for years, he becomes a general, and with American support he takes the post of chief of the general staff, then being elected president.
He does not fight with Edi Rama, nor with the rest of politics; because he is not Ilir Meta, Bamir Topi, or the late Bujar Nishani, who more than heads of state were hardened partisans.
In a normal logic, this popular perception is also a model to find the identity of the man who will succeed Edi Rama in the leadership of Albania.
To be a normal person, without "special powers". Here even those who aspire to enter politics, i.e. the young, simply imitate the old elite. Yes, they imitate it in form and content, they remove it as saviors, making only theatrical pantomimes. Look at the MPs who cry or dance in the shows, doing nothing but imitating Edi Rama when he is in trouble, who jumps out of trouble.
The fact that General Bajram Begaj defeated all the active politicians is not a coincidence, it even looks like an opportunity for a restart of politics to find its characters. Without looking for genius, but as it happens classically, from the university chairs, the real ones, not the "doctors" who have not yet finished high school./Pamphlet
