Opposition leader Sali Berisha, during a meeting in Kuçova, harshly attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of corruption and mismanagement.
He said that Rama is "terrified" and that he is heading for final defeat, as he does not even have the strength to appear in the debate. Berisha stressed that Rama has stolen 90 percent of taxes and that in the next government of the Democratic Party, the Open Balkans will be "torn apart" from day one.
He has promised to reduce energy prices and develop Albania's natural potential to double the irrigated area. Berisha has also criticized the vocabulary used by Rama, calling it inappropriate for a prime minister.
" The Open Balkans will be 'torn' on the first day of the DP government. The Banja Hydropower Plant is an irrigation project and that is why it was built, and the second is energy. Its potential will be used to double the irrigated area in Albania. Made in Albania will be our pride. Energy will go down from 18 to 6 lek. The Municipality of Kuçova with Lefter Maliqi was robbed.
"The law will act with force against those who robbed your mandate. They have done something, because we cannot say that they have done nothing, but they have stolen 90 percent of taxes. Man, let's sit down together in dialogue. He can't get out, he can't stand it and talks to himself every morning. He is a two-meter man, he says stupid, çyryk, man, this is his vocabulary, which only a prime minister can have this vocabulary. Rama is terrified, because he is close to the abyss, towards his final defeat ," he said.
