The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the clashes at the opposition protest, accusing the State Police of violence against citizens and MPs.
In a public statement, Bardhi described the police intervention as a serious act of provocation, linking it to the political situation in the country.
" The inhumane attack by the State Police against citizens or members of the Democratic Party is a serious act of provocation, but it shows that Edi Rama has lost his composure. This happens every time someone senses the end, and his end is swift and painful ," said Bardhi.
He warned that any officer who, according to him, violated the law during the intervention will be held accountable.
" Any State Police employee who crosses red lines and openly violates the law will be held personally responsible. The right to protest cannot be violated by anyone ," he declared.
Bardhi further emphasized that the police actions cannot be justified.
