During the meeting in the Laws Committee where the draft law "On military career in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania" was discussed, Rithemelimi clearly stated that it will not vote for it in the Assembly.
MP Gazment Bardhi said that the Reestablishment group will not vote for this draft law, accusing the majority that only people who have signed properties for the oligarchs have made a career in the Armed Forces.
"The only criterion to make a career in the armed forces is the firm to alienate the properties. You made those who signed for the oligarchs a general and one of them you took to the presidency. We will vote against this law, because it does not guarantee that those who have made an honest career. The only criterion for a career in the Armed Forces has been the signing of some property for the oligarchs. We have seen what happened, the ranks and positions were taken by those who signed the property, you made them generals and you even took some of them to the presidency. So, this law is only made for this. We cannot remain without expressing concern, when we see that in the areas of the armed forces, entire areas are planted with narcotics. We value every career officer, every person who has contributed, but we cannot remain silent about the politicization you have done" - said Bardhi, among other things.
