The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, has accused the majority of denying the opposition the right to speak in the plenary session, describing the situation as unprecedented.
" In an unprecedented manner, the Speaker of the Assembly denied the floor to opposition MPs who had requested their right to speak on procedure. The Prime Minister must appear in plenary session to give an account of the demands that citizens have been protesting for 18 days ," declared Bardhi.
He claimed that the conduct of the session was conducted outside parliamentary rules, attacking the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi.
" Closing the Parliament so that opposition MPs cannot give a voice to the citizens can only happen from a puppet like Niko Peleshi, Taulant Balla. Today the session was conducted via SMS. Taulant Balla took the floor as many times as he wanted ," said Bardhi.
Commenting on the postponement of the vote on the criminal amnesty, Bardhi said that the majority does not have the necessary votes for its approval.
" Now they are trying to fish out another MP and have postponed the vote. The Assembly has turned into a private institution where the opposition is denied its constitutional rights ," declared the head of the DP parliamentary group.
