The head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group has appealed to citizens to protest to overthrow Edi Rama's government, which he says is hindering the country's integration into the EU.
Bardhi says that Rama is defending corruption and is in conflict with justice, therefore the people should protest his removal.
"Edi Rama is hindering European integration because he is politically defending corruption. Edi Rama is isolated. In conflict with justice. Our resistance will not stop until he is removed. Until a technical government and free elections. Our task is to overthrow him. PROTEST", writes Bardhi.
Tirana Police have meanwhile announced that they have taken all necessary measures to guarantee public order in the context of the opposition protest that will take place today at 6:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
According to the official announcement, in implementation of the law "On Gatherings", the authorities will impose temporary restrictions on several main road axes of the capital.
Specifically, starting from 09:30 until the end of the rally, vehicle traffic will be blocked on "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, from the Bridge to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street.
