At the center of the rally are demands for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the establishment of a caretaker government, and the guarantee of free and fair elections.

The Democratic Party is expected to hold its next protest in Tirana this Sunday, at 6:00 PM, following the opposition action against the government.

At the center of the rally are demands for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the establishment of a caretaker government, and the guarantee of free and fair elections.

The protest coincides with the holiday of Sultan Novruz and also holds historical symbolism for the democrats, as it is linked to March 22, 1992, the date that marks their victory in the first pluralist elections after the fall of communism.

A day earlier, the opposition leader, Sali Berisha, called on citizens for mass participation, describing the rally as a “peaceful uprising.” He emphasized that participation is a civic obligation, regardless of political beliefs.

"It is the duty of every Albanian, regardless of their beliefs, to unite tomorrow at 6:00 PM in the streets and squares of Tirana to show our strength, in the greatest peaceful uprising," Berisha said yesterday.

Unlike previous protests, this time the opposition is expected to change strategy. According to reports, there will be no organized movements on the main streets of Tirana, as has happened before, when protesters marched from the Prime Minister's Office to the Parliament or carried out forms of civil disobedience by blocking road axes.

The protesters will be organized according to their areas of residence, while they will be accompanied by deputies and leaders of the Democratic Party structures. A good part of the supporters is expected to gather initially at the DP headquarters, to then move towards the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard.

Sources indicate that this time the aim is to avoid incidents and the use of tools such as Molotov cocktails, after continuous criticism from representatives of the European People's Party (EPP). In this context, the organizers aim for a peaceful protest, but with wide participation and lasting several hours.

The rally is expected to start at 18:00 and last until around 22:00, if there is no intervention by the police to disperse the protesters. However, according to sources, in case of provocations against the crowd, a change in the scenario is not ruled out, which could lead to tensions and road blockages in the capital./ Pamphlet
