Gazment Bardhi has called on the opposition to reflect, saying that the Democratic Party must be unified and avoid unnecessary debates that harm the opposition. He also said that some of them have decided to keep the conflict burning inside the DP by diverting attention from the bad governance.
"Some have decided to keep the conflict burning within the DP by defocusing attention from the misgovernance. I have made every effort to have a unification in the Parliamentary group to avoid unnecessary debates. A very small part within DP did not become part of this initiative, without giving any explanation they made their choice. I call on them to reflect, because keeping an unnecessary conflict burning is not a solution. Unification is necessary for the opposition", he said for "News 24".
As for the debates in the Assembly about the chairman of the parliamentary group, Bardhi said that it was clearly a provocation on the part of the chairman of the Assembly to keep the debate alive.
"The President of the Parliament is not the leader of the political parties, but she has the duty to implement the regulation. The regulation is completely clear for the chairman of the parliamentary group. It is not about the individual, but about the principles and functioning of a state. The numbers in the Assembly are clear and the Speaker of the Assembly cannot act as if she is out of the political reality. "Mr. Basha is in the minority and does not enjoy the overwhelming support of a part of the parliament ," he continued.
As for the start of the new parliamentary session, during the conversation Bardhi said that the deputies should all be together and against the regime.
"I would like the rest to join the unification of the agenda. Unfortunately, they are busy with letters and documents, in the last session they showed that they have left the opposition mission. This is not the way to unite votes with the government when we have been saying for years that it has spent and stolen. This is dangerous and brings to the surface the special role that some of the colleagues are trying to take. My luck and that of Mr. Basha is that we are sitting next to each other in the parliament. I am not proud of the debate with my colleague Basha, but it was an emotional human moment. An unworthy act by Mr. Basha that also brought my reaction. I don't feel proud, but I'm not there to argue with Mr. Basha. Basha is showing that he does not have a fight with Edi Rama, but with Gazment Bardhi it is his choice. I have chosen the strategy of just responding,Bardhi said among other things.
