The General Assembly of Local Democratic Elected Members is being held today.
In his speech at this assembly, the head of Reestablishment, Sali Berisha, said that local elected officials should motivate the idealist army to face what he calls "Edi Rama's regime".
"It is our duty, today that we have everything clear in the light of the sun, to motivate this idealistic army to face the regime of Edi Rama. This is an enemy of the vote, this does not allow the vote. This has created models of public vote buying, we are leaving the secret. Based on gangs, murderers, criminals, with whom he completely robs the mandates he defines," said Berisha.
Berisha also left some orders to the local democratic elected officials in this assembly.
He told them to cooperate with Edi Rama's government, but on the condition that they denounce any discrimination by it.
"It is very important that we do everything with our vote, oppose the tax increase. I also invite you, our honorable elected officials, to represent education with all the power you have. Our municipalities should do everything they can, with scholarships for the poor, to make education a top priority. Check financial aid. Do everything to register citizens who need economic assistance and who do not receive it. We will fight powerfully for the minimum wage. Establishing a living wage is of crucial importance. In accordance with the law, you must cooperate with central government in the interest of your constituents. But you will denounce any discrimination of the local government towards your municipality and your citizens. Cooperation should be implemented on projects. therefore, concentrate the funds you have on projects, especially from international institutions, because this will discriminate against you. You must be very active in international cooperation, in the best interest of the citizens you lead," he said.
