The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha from Vlora, declared that the real leadership of the DP is the democrats.
Without mentioning names, Basha did not leave the former prime minister Sali Berisha without arrows, adding that; "Some who were placed on the pedestal lost their political compass."
" Vlora and the people of Vlorë have always known how to appreciate in history, the people who have sacrificed themselves for something bigger than themselves. This was also done by the democrats in Vlora. At a time when it was easy to backslide, at a time when it was not difficult to lose the way, and with it the reason and the motivation, even the orientation or the political compass itself, as many of those who we had set lost on the pedestal. As many lost those who were crushed by the wealth of medals received by the Democrats, but who on the most difficult day of the Democratic Party were not there for the Democrats, nor for our voters, nor for the values of our family. Time showed something else, that the true strength of this political force never rested in one, two or three. With merit or without merit, as the political analysis of these months in the various branches of Albania has rightly evidenced.
The real strength of the Democratic Party has always been the motive of unity in this family, which is to serve the people, to be here with the people and for the people. The real leadership of DP are the democrats. They are the people who belong to the big families of Vlora, who are the owners, the persecuted, intellectuals, professionals, business representatives. The traditional Albanian right, the big doors of Vlora, the owners and the persecuted, the honest enterprise all together know very well that PD was born as another, although along the way these values were often betrayed or not served as they were declared in the beginning. Starting with the politically persecuted, continuing with the owners, also disappointed by the DP. This does not mean that this sole disappears, on the contrary, it has become an overwhelming majority against this evil. If we surrendered to the lusts of power, it would be very simple.
The first criterion, there is no need for an election for the chairman, there is no need for an election for the chairman. Whoever has the loudest voice, whoever curses the most will be the first. The second who curses the most will be the second, the biggest cursers will be the candidates for MP and our philosophy will be against everyone because we are the salvation. This false path has created the greatest evils for society. This is how communism was born. This exclusionary, nihilistic negativist approach with no alternative but to attack is the seed to create another evil such as the current evil. ", said Basha.
He added, among other things, that; " Therefore, an alternative is expected from us. It's bad, we all know it, everyone knows it, Albania is empty, everyone knows it, there is no hope for the youth, everyone knows it, where do we stand as democrats? And to tear up from breakfast to dinner, to point fingers at those we have been showing and denouncing for 10 years, there is nothing new here. But we are here together not simply because we survived an unjust coup, we are here because we are shaping and building the future. Not just for DP, but for all Albanians. And in order to carry out this task as expected by the Albanians, we need, in addition to denunciations, to have clear positions before them. And denunciations by a political party from those of the media differ when the political party, in addition to the denunciation, demands accountability for those responsible. In the spaces allowed by the law and one of them is the parliamentary space which has been blocked for 4 months for personal interests. Thus the arrogance of the government increases, laws are changed at the pleasure of the prime minister within 5 minutes because of a wrong and disastrous election that should have ended an hour ago. ".
