The former vice-president of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, is holding an equal position from all parties in the Democratic Party. Although she recognizes Gazment Bardhi and not Lulzim Basha as the chairman of the parliamentary group, she admitted that she has chosen not to participate in the joint meetings of the Bardhi group with the Berisha group.
In an interview for the show "No Censorship" on 'RTSH', Tabaku avoids taking positions on names and tries to focus on the principle. In this case, to the necessity for union.
" Yes, it is true, I did not participate in the group meetings. If we do not understand that divided into parts, we only serve the government, then we have understood nothing. We, although we think differently, must definitely mobilize everyone in the opposition and act as a group both in the parliament and on the ground, since May 14 showed that the various pieces of the opposition, even all together, could not take the government" , said Tabaku.
But in the conditions when Gazment Bardhi invites Lulzim Basha for cooperation, but he refuses because of Berisha, doesn't the demand for everyone's union seem unrealistic?
" Everything happens when there is a will. But with the theory of divisions, attacks, exceptions, we will repeat ourselves ad infinitum. I think that all of us in the opposition should unite. We remove the names, we remove the labels. They are members of the opposition and should be together as a single group in the parliament. Personal egos are not important, but the interest of the democrats", - emphasized Jorida Tabaku, who does not accept that this request seems impossible and unrealistic.
"It is difficult at this moment, but seeing the mistakes of the past, seeing where PD is, this is the way forward ", said Jorida Tabaku.
