The deputy of the Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi, has declared that Enkelejd Alibeaj cannot be co-chairman from the opposition side, in the Electoral Reform Commission.
In an interview for ABC News, Vokshi said that the co-chairman is chosen by the opposition MPs. According to Vokshi, Prime Minister Edi Rama is making attempts to "kill" the Electoral Reform Commission.
" What kind of electoral reform are we talking about, where there is an Ad Hock commission, it has been there for two years, it has not done any work. It can't be Alibeaj. Çuçi said that we cannot appoint a co-chairman if there is no consensus. Consensus on what? We don't want consensus. We will do what SP or Edi Rama wants? There is no need for consensus to have opposition members in the Electoral Reform Commission. It is the selected opposition MPs in Parliament who are appointed. These are Edi Rama's attempts to kill an Electoral Reform Commission that has so far kept it in abeyance and has not done any work. We can no longer stay with Enkelejd Alibeaj as co-president there, we tried Enkelejd Alibeaj. Grida Duma cannot remain a member of the Electoral Reform Commission, it's a shame.
