Today, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha commented on the SPAK file on Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi in a media conference, as he also told about their relationship with businessman Adrian Shatku.
Berisha stated that he would never defend a corrupt act, but he also emphasized that he would not accept political accusations against anyone.
"First of all, I guarantee every Albanian that I would never defend a corrupt act from anyone. But I can never accept political accusations against any of them. I will focus only on two main ones. Mrs. Kryemadhi tells him that 'I met Mr. Rama and asked him what he is doing with the problem of Shatku', Rama replied: do it urgently. And Shatku returns it, this is the best news of the year.
In these cases, I understand that there is a relationship between Kryemadhi and Shatku Rama, and it is very clear that the 'gift' is Rama, so Shatku says that this is the news of the year for me.

Adrian Shatku, an Albanian from Peshkopia, had set up his powerful business in New York, established a relationship with Argita Berisha since 2010. The studio of the daughter of the Prime Minister at the time, Sali Berisha, received a first installment from Unifi Communications Inc. of 7,656 euros, sufficient only to start a study on the possibility of investments. As it happened with the same scheme that the girl's clients were privileged, Berisha on October 21, 2010 signed the decision of the Council of Ministers with number 840 which allows the "UNIFI Holdings Inc. Ilir Meta, who was Berisha's minister at that time, also voted for this decision, although in a conflict of interest since Shatku was Monika Kryemadhi's cousin.
And exactly this decision of the Berisha government was carried out by Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi. SPAK says that Meta-Kryemadhi cooperated with Shatku and placed the state administration in his function in order to serve the interests of his companies. They have used their positions and influence at the highest levels of power. In order to prove Meta-Kryemadhi's corruption with Shatku's company, SPAK is based on the disclosure of all conversations from the analysis of Monika Kryemadhi's phone.
