The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's recent statements, describing them as part of a "common ritual of deceitful monologue."
In a video message on social media, Berisha expressed the opposition's support for American investments in Albania, despite the lack of information on concrete agreements.
"Today, in the usual ritual of the Sunday scam monologue, Edi Rama spoke about energy security.
On this occasion, I want to state that the Democratic Party fully supports American investments in Albania, although it has no knowledge of the signed agreements. Similarly, this party supports the efforts of the United States government to diversify gas supplies in Southeast Europe, in Europe and beyond. But in this monologue, Edi Rama declared to the Albanians that warships will be built by Pash Alimani for export to other countries.
"A similar thing to his fantasy that the NATO summit, according to him, will be held in 2027 in Albania and, according to him, this summit will be guaranteed and secured by drones Made in Albania. That is, Albania will produce the most sophisticated drones," said Berisha.
He described as unfounded the statements about the construction of warships and other projects mentioned by the prime minister, comparing them to previous promises that have not been fulfilled.
"Finally, Edi Rama spoke about another great achievement, because an NGO has decided to hold its congress in Albania next year. In fact, according to him, this is the World Association of Jurists and the congress will be dedicated to the law and the rule of law. This is similar to the price of food that Sofo Llazri received at a time when Albanians had empty stomachs, empty pockets and empty stores. In fact, in Albania they come to a country where the rule of law has been replaced with the mafia code, where the prosecution has been completely blocked in its efforts in the fight against corruption", continued the leading democrat.
