Leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, leveled accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding his wealth, focusing on a property in Surrel, which he said includes a considerable area, comparable to the Brigades Palace.
He used this example to argue his claims, emphasizing that even the green space of Rama's apartment reaches similar proportions to this complex.
"I have denounced him dozens of times. He has a declared 58-meter house, while he says he built it with 3,800 euros and 400,000 Albanian lek that he declared in the ILDKPI. But I tell you that just the pigment used for coloring, 100,000 euros were used, just the pigment. Meanwhile, the surrounding garden is bigger than the Brigades Palace, 8,800 meters, with olive trees taken from all four sides and transplanted there," Berisha said.
Following the statements, he claimed that the prime minister has unfairly interfered in independent institutions, citing the case of the head of the HIDAKKI, who, according to him, was dismissed after initiating verifications of Rama's assets.
Berisha also brought to attention the issue of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road, linking it to significant financial benefits for the construction company and comparing this to the construction of a palace linked to the prime minister's wife.

In response to the interest of his followers, Berisha also touched on the local elections, announcing the deadline for the selection of candidates.

In conclusion, Berisha stated that the prime minister should have faced justice long ago for issues that he considers to be corruption scandals and links to organized crime.
"He should have been in prison a long time ago for the heinous crimes he committed," said the leading Democrat.
