Berisha denounces Sako's 2T company: It built Linda Rama's palace,
Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has made strong accusations against the construction company 2T, owned by Artan Sako, stating that this company has been paid by Albanian citizens with around 300 million euros through public projects.

In a statement to the media, Berisha focused specifically on the construction of the palace that he described as the "dowry palace" of Linda Rama, the wife of Prime Minister Edi Rama, claiming that the facility was built by the 2T company and that no complete financial or legal documentation exists for it.

According to Berisha, the 2T company was also involved in the construction of the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road, a project launched in 2009 and initially envisaged with a fund of 73 million dollars, but which, according to him, ended up costing Albanian taxpayers many times more.

"The Surrel mafia is the most dangerous mafia in Europe. It is the mafia that costs Albanians hundreds and billions of euros in every public work and every tender," declared Berisha, adding that Albanian citizens have paid the 2T company amounts totaling around 300 million euros.

The DP leader stressed that the palace in question was built on the Basha family's land, but, according to him, in violation of urban planning conditions and without regular tax, environmental or financial billing. He also recalled that, following denunciations made by the Democratic Party in the past, the High Inspectorate for Declaration and Control of Assets had initiated verification procedures for the origin of the wealth, but according to him, these investigations were interrupted after the dismissal of former director Zana Xhuka.

"The Surrel mafia is the most dangerous mafia in Europe. It is the mafia that costs Albanians hundreds and billions of euros in every public work, in every tender.

Today I have chosen to focus on how much citizens pay for Linda Rama's dowry palace. The palace for which Linda Rama and her husband, Edi Rama, are unable to present even a single invoice, tax, environmental or of any kind.

So the palace in the dowry built in the palace square on their land. This should be emphasized, it was built on the land of the Basha family. But it was built in violation of every urban planning condition.

The next chapter is that the building, the lady can't even present an invoice, the building has 5 floors above ground, go underground and see for yourself how much it has.

When this scandal was denounced by the DP at the time and when the HIDAA began the investigation procedure for the origin of the palace, Rama promptly dismissed Mrs. Zana Xhuka.  She said about this palace that it was built with blood money. I do not believe that her immigrant brother was involved in either drugs or murder.

But now listen to how much the Albanians paid for the palace?! The Albanians paid for the palace, as their popular expression says, more than "fry the chicken". The Albanians paid the company that built the palace, the 2T company of the famous Sako, brother of the Guard commander, currently mayor of Tepelena, not 100 or 200, but 300 million euros, after the Qukës-Qafë Plloçë road, started in 2009, was estimated at 73 million dollars from the Islamic bank", said Sali Berisha.
