Analyst Ergys Mërtiri has had a fierce debate with the deputy of the Democratic Party Dashnor Sula about the recent visit of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party to Strasbourg, describing it as an unprecedented reaction in Albanian history.
Mertiri emphasized that there was no precedent for a political force to protest in Strasbourg for internal problems.
"This shows that the opposition does not know what it is doing anymore and tries to invent", said Mërtiri, accusing the opposition of trying to open external conflicts to mask its incompetence and convince public opinion.
PD MP Dashnor Sula responded by defending the positions of the opposition. He emphasized that despite the internal problems, their efforts to be opposition should not be hindered.
"We have no political opponent Berisha or Basha. It is the 12th year that we are in the opposition", he declared for "Neës 24".
The debate continued with Mërtiri, who pointed out that the opposition has internal problems and asked Sula why he is not reforming. Sula replied that the opposition has gone through cycles and that there is a need for a deep analysis of the situation.
Mertiri accused the opposition of creating riots and doing stupid things by attacking the European Union, while Sula supported SPAK and emphasized that he was a supporter of justice reforms. He argued that SPAK is destroying the opposition, while Sula demanded that this structure act coherently.
The analyst emphasized that SPAK has arrested former ministers of the Socialist Party, while Sula asked for more transparency and an equal and coherent treatment.

Mertiri: This form of reaction is unprecedented in Albanian history. I don't know if any political force protested in Strasbourg about the internal problems. For me, this shows that this opposition does not know what it is doing anymore and tries to invent. If it was a valid instrument, they would have done it earlier. To me this explains everything about the opposition's actions. The opposition does not have a problem with Rama, but with itself, so it tries to open external conflicts. The opposition has no chance to convince public opinion and defeat Rama because it is the same that has been there for 33 years. She expresses her inability to be persuasive by creating riots and going to Strasbourg, that is, by doing stupid things. They are accusing the EU of keeping a dictator in charge and of arresting Sali Berisha. The EU and the US are the main supporters of the justice reform and they wear 'freeberisha' shirts and say they are keeping a dictator in power in Albania.
Sula: Unë kam në dorë dinjitetin tim ashtu si edhe shumë kolegë. Kjo nuk do të thotë se për shkak të problemeve të opozitës ne duhet të pengohemi nga të qenit opozitarë. Ne nuk kemi kundërshtar politik Berishën apo Bashën. Po bëhet viti i 12-të që jemi në opozitë. Tani lind pyetja, a e ka fajin Berisha apo mazhoranca.
Mërtiri: Të gjithë bashkë jeni rreziku, jeni e njëjta gjë.
Sula: Nuk e pranoj kurrë këtë. Të rrish duke gjetur të keqen 90% te opozita, ky është problem i madh. Opozita ka probleme patjetër.

Mërtiri: Po ka 33 vjet
Sula: Mirë apo keq, shaji sa të duash huqet Sali Berishës, por po-së i thotë po dhe jo-së i thotë jo. Politikani matet nga fjala. Ka qenë kjo vendimmarrje me çmendurinë e djegies së mandateve.
Mërtiri: Berisha vetë e tha që e nisi ai djegien e mandateve, e mbrojti publikisht.
Sula: T’i japim atë që i takon Berishës dhe Bashës. Basha e pati mundësinë dhe humbi në zgjedhje. Unë jam një idhtar i SPAK-ut, mbështetësi më i madh i SPAK.
Mërtiri: Ndaj më vjen keq.
Sula: Unë pavarësisht diskutimeve me zotin Berisha, që në ditën e parë e kam thënë. Kushtetuta thotë se është shkelur e drejta që i takon masës së sigurimit për Sali Berishën, sepse u anashkalua Kushtetuta për dhënien e masës së sigurisë ndaj Berishës. Publikisht ia kam thënë në sy Sali Berishës nëse do të akuzohej për koncesione, vjedhje të fondeve publike, e kisha zero kompleksin për t’ia thënë në sy dhe zero për të pasur rezerva në lidhje me çështjen e hetimit të Sali Berishës. Kolegët e mi dhe opozita kur shohin që hetohet një ish-kryeministër para 12 vitesh dhe ministra sot që kanë shkuar të mbuluar tërësisht me probleme… unë nuk e drejtoj gishtin, por kryetari i bashkisë kryen korrupsion galopant dhe ky nuk shihet…

Sula: Hetim për sy e faqe mund të ketë
Mërtiri: Ku e di ti si është?
Sula: Po të isha prokuror nuk do ngrija akuzë për një VKM kolegjiale, si për Sali Berishën apo të tjerë. Ilir Meta u arrestua as 24 orë pa kaluar arrestimi i një deputeti të mazhorancës. Si institucion, siç ka politika të korruptuar, nuk është gjithë sistemi. Besoj se brenda politikës edhe drejtësisë ka njerëz të ndershëm, por edhe të korruptuar. Ka segmente të SPAK që fryjnë nga ana e kësaj mazhorance.
Mërtiri: Pra fajin e ka SPAK që po shkatërron opozitën?
Sula: SPAK duhet të ketë koherencë të plotë. SPAK të nxjerrë para zgjedhjeve listën e politikanëve që kanë përdorur platformat e enkriptuara SKY dhe Encrochat.
Mërtiri: Tani po thoni që fajin e ka SPAK për shkatërrimin e opozitës, akuza më e rëndë që mund t’i bëhet një prokurorie.
Sula: Duhet të jenë të kujdesshëm në hetimet e tyre dhe koherentë.
Mertiri: Elections are held every two years, they should never be judged. Who has been convicted by the opposition, Berisha had an obligation to appear, but he did gangsterism to justice and ended up on the balcony, he has not been imprisoned yet. The only one who has been imprisoned is Meta. Meanwhile, SPAK has arrested former SP ministers. They were high-ranking figures, you have important directors who are in prison. From the amnesty that Berisha did with Rama, he released 120 corrupt people. These are the electoral heart of Rama in the elections. SPAK has caught these and has destroyed the face of this government. This SPAK has degenerated this majority. Thanks to SPAK, Rama is easier to defeat in the elections. Following a prime minister is not as easy as they say. Even Rama is afraid of SPAK and is attacking him, despite not saying it in words. Rama set up an investigative commission against SPAK and the foreigners were forced to protect him from Rama. These are being done with Rama against SPAK. The opposition is protecting itself from prison. SPAK is the only hope of this country.
