The Minister of State for relations with the Parliament Elisa Spiropali, when asked about SPAK's investigations against high officials, focusing on Sali Berisha, said that the former prime minister has many burdens on his shoulder.
In an interview for "Report TV", she stated that many of the files being investigated, in which Berisha is involved, will be taken to the end by SPAK.
She further added that Berisha has given signals of fear in several recent interviews where he only pointed at the Prosecutor's Office.
" I cannot make judgments or encourage SPAK, but I believe that the public institutional political records of Berisha are there. SPAK has come a long way. It has given sure signs that it justifies the reform in justice and that it is giving consecutive blows to impunity.
Personally, I believe that Berisha has many flaws and sins on his back. Not only metaphorically but also in the public eye. Their disclosure is expected from Spak. There is also a stamp from our strategic ally. Now there is a movement of institutions to make possible the fight against corruption. I am confident that many of those files will go to the bottom.
Berisha also gave the signs in some of his interviews. Everyone has seen the fear in him. SPAK is Berisha's favorite target, there is a reason for this. It seems that Berisha cannot be happy about the punishment of corrupt officials. Berisha should come out and support such actions, but he doesn't let go of the fact that it could be him too. The fact that SPAK is showing signs of functioning depresses her ," she said.
