The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, gave a speech in front of the headquarters of this political force after the end of the protest that lasted about two hours.
In his speech, he stressed that the marches will continue and that the battle against Prime Minister Edi Rama will intensify. Berisha also announced the organization of another protest, clarifying that the date and time will be announced in a second announcement.
During the speech, Berisha thanked the participants in the protest and called for an even greater unity of supporters, emphasizing that the opposition action will continue.
He stated that the protest exceeded expectations and warned that the next rally will be even more powerful.
"A brotherly greeting, an infinite gratitude, with your courage, bravery, and endurance! You honored more than ever this historic date of the Albanian nation: the overthrow of the communist dictatorship 34 years ago, but at the same time you dealt the most deserved blow to today's dictatorship."
This was a brilliant battle and I guarantee you that the next one will be even more brilliant! For Edi Rama there will be no more lair, no more mouse hole to enter! The peaceful Albanian uprising will take him where he deserves! You have been brilliant! I don't know how you honored him so much today, March 22! You terrified Edvin Kristaq Rama!
Therefore, let us pledge in this square that there is no peace in this country with those who steal like hyenas the public assets of Albanians and enrich themselves, using the laws and mandates of crime to protect their thefts.
Our resistance, our unity will fall upon them and they will end up in Lana, in the dustbins of history! Is there a siege that is preventing us? Never! Edi Rama, resign as soon as possible! Resign because we will pull you out in a way you never expect!”, said Berisha.
