Strong tensions were noted during the Democratic Party protest in Tirana, where clashes were recorded on Elbasan Street between protesters, opposition MPs and police forces.
The crowd of protesters has moved towards this area, where the situation has escalated with the use of tear gas by the police, while Molotov cocktails have also been reported from protesters.
Amid the tensions, Democratic Party deputies were also involved. The "Eagle" forces physically clashed with deputies Luçiano Boçi and Xhelal Mziu, at a moment when the latter attempted to move towards the DP headquarters.
According to developments on the ground, the police did not allow them to pass, which led to direct confrontation and physical confrontation between the parties.
Harsh remarks were also heard during the clash. "Take off that uniform. How do you eat bread at dinner, you're a disgrace. Don't touch me with your hand, you'll hit me," deputy Luciano Boçi is heard saying to the officers.
