Analyst Fatos Lubonja has commented on the statements of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha after he was questioned by SPAK.
According to Lubonja, Berisha has fallen into contradictions by talking about both a criminal group and a terrorized group.
"There is a truth that SPAK is controlled by Rama and it means that most of the prosecutors are under this control. If Berisha talks about terrorizing, it means that there is a part that works in a regime and in the regime not everyone is a volunteer of the regime. It is said that this Dumani is more independent than this Kraja. But I don't like the criminal group. For me, the criminal group is led by Rama and these are part of this larger group. And the one who calls it part of a criminal group is part of a gang that controls justice as an instrument of power", said Lubonja.
Speaking about the McGonigal case, Lubonja said that a very big crime has been committed.
"An FBI official is corrupted and McGonigal has admitted that he pushed the case and took money. We have an opening of a process to destroy the opposition by the Americans themselves. Watergate was a campaign bug and Nixon resigned. "Imagine you go and bribe a high official of the FBI to destroy the opposition and nothing happens," said Lubonja.
Lubonja said that we are facing a regime that has the shadows of the former dictatorship where the police and justice are used to silence the opposition.
"There was no opposition in Stalinism. Here we have a shadow of that mentality with democratic methods. There must be opposition in democracy. In its essence, we are dealing with an echo of that time where there was no real pluralism, no dialogue. This is where the tyranny of a majority decides", he continued in the interview given to News 24.
