The Parliamentary Security Committee has today reviewed the draft law "On granting amnesty" according to which 600 convicts will benefit, including 10 women and 10 minors.
But the socialist deputies are looking at the possibility of expanding the criminal offenses included in the amnesty. They have proposed to introduce construction works without permission.
"Two people busy with fists in the fumes of alcohol cannot remain under house arrest. Even those for constructions without permission and obligation to appear", said MP Bujar Çela.
The representatives of the majority in the commission have also requested an extension of the amnesty deadline until December 31, 2023.
The chairman of the security commission, Nasip Naço, postponed the discussion to allow time for the reflection of the proposals of the socialist deputies and at the same time asked for the cooperation of the opposition to approve it.
