Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha presented today the DP's plan to abolish taxes. He said that after coming to power following the May 112 elections, the 3 percent social housing tax on the sale price will be abolished.
Also, the infrastructure impact tax will be reduced from 18 percent of the sales price to 2 percent of the estimate. Berisha said that VAT will be reduced to 15 percent.

So, the fiscal code that will be approved in the first 3 months can be changed during the 4 years for burdens, but only for reliefs.
The number of different tax brackets will be reduced. A flat tax of 10 percent will be imposed on capital, on income from work, with the exception of the first 50 thousand lek, which will not be taxed.
Flat tax of 10 percent on non-wage income. Zero taxation for the liberal professions and small businesses. Zero annual profit tax cap for small businesses.
The VAT exemption limit will be 18 million lek annual turnover. VAT will be reduced to 15 percent, the 20 percent taboo will disappear.
The infrastructure impact tax will be reduced from 18 percent of the sales price to 2 percent of the estimate.
The fundamental cause of the skyrocketing prices in construction are the absurd taxes imposed on the construction area, which in fact, depending on the case, are at least 10 times the upfront tax and in other cases even 20 or 30 times it.
And all this is billed to the citizens, making it impossible for them to buy. Or turning apartments into forbidden apples. Not only that, but this has a very strong impact on rents. And in the country with the lowest wages in Europe, rents are at the highest levels.
We are fundamentally changing this situation. The 3 percent social housing tax on the sales price is abolished. It will not exist.
"The 1 percent development permit fee on the investment value is abolished. The property revaluation fee will be reduced from 5 to 1 percent," said Berisha.
