Berisha: Smart City, Rama's prices 30 times higher than market value
Sali Berisha

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has considered the Smart City project to be corrupt, while emphasizing that the prices are 30 times higher than the real value of the cameras that will be used.

In a press conference, Berisha said that if a police body camera costs 15,700 euros in this project, it can be purchased anywhere for 1,000-1,500 euros.

"If a street camera costs 52 thousand euros, this camera can be purchased freely for 2 thousand euros. So it is 25 times more expensive than what is available on the market."

"The costs of the project as a whole result, compared to their implementation in other countries, in proportion at least 10-12 times higher," said Berisha.

Further, making comparisons, the democratic leader stated that in Bengaluru, India, this project cost 67 million dollars for a population of 8 million, over four times the population of Albania, while here it costs 157 million euros.

"Here too, the black hand of the famous brother-in-law with prestanoma is certain. Imagine thefts 15 times the cost of a famous city in India. I condemn with the greatest force such a project as a theft of unbridled proportions, as a major violation and infringement of the national security of Albanians, of their privacy. They can no longer go to each other without the eye of the Cyclops behind them and this is Edi Rama. Of course, the DP will raise this issue with the greatest force in international institutions as well, as it constitutes a fundamental violation of human rights," said Berisha.
