The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a press conference from the blue headquarters, has once again denounced the government's "Smart City" project.
Berisha describes the surveillance aimed at by the Rama government as illegal, emphasizing that it will violate citizens' privacy.
"I am before you to denounce again the project called Smart City, the smart city so to speak. First of all, as a project, this aims at the complete surveillance of the movements of every citizen. If a year ago, all telephone companies installed devices for complete recording of citizens' internet and telephone numbers under the pretext of cutting off Tiktok, now with Smart City, Edi Rama completes the most illegal and total surveillance of Albanian citizens, including their movements, and this constitutes the complete annihilation of their privacy, as this system records not only the individual, but also the face with all the individual's emotions. His movements in every destination, his visits to friends, relatives and comrades. His privacy in bars and everywhere he goes", declared Berisha.
