Former Prime Minister Berisha has started attempts to escape arrest by SPAK. Initially, he mobilized the deputies to appeal to the Constitutional Court with a lawsuit to suspend the measure of the obligation to appear, which would also suspend the arrest, while on Monday, when the Council of Mandates examines the request of SPAK, Berisha called protests.
The member of the National Council of the DP, Eno Bozdo, said that according to him the protest was forewarned and is not happening because of Berisha's battle with justice.
"Protests on Monday and Thursday and in the following days for everything that is happening in the assembly for the violation of the opposition's rights, for the denial of the opposition's demands, especially for the commissions, for how the opposition is being trampled underfoot. I believe that the opposition is escalating that political action that it has announced for two months. We'll start this way and get there. It will be only PD of Tirana. It is important that the opposition supports its MPs, second is the opposition people who protest.
Two or three weeks ago opposition MPs were forced to enter through the window. Everything has gone from bad to worse, that's why there are all the reasons to protest", Bozdo said.
Asked if they will have the support of allies in this protest, he did not give a clear answer.
"The decision to escalate our political decision was made today at the presidency meeting. There is no reason why we should not have the support of the opposition because we are talking about the denial of the rights of the opposition MPs," he said.
Berisha's actions seem contradictory, as he first appealed to the constitution and now calls for protests. But for Bozdon, this scenario was forewarned.
"We are in a scenario that was warned a few months ago without knowing that the situation with parliamentarism will arrive at such a moment. It has nothing to do with Berisha, but with the way the agenda was developed in the parliament in the last 3 months. It's something we warned would happen. We will use the right tools, we will spread it throughout Albania," Bozdo said for "Report TV".
