Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha continues to break house arrest. Although the Court has stopped him from holding meetings, he has turned the house into a reception office.
Recently, the former ambassador of Albania to Great Britain, Mal Berisha, announced through a status on social networks that the former prime minister was also visited by the general secretary of the Vatra association, Nazo Veliu, and the Honorary President of this Federation, Agim Rexhaj.
" Ms. Nazo Veliu, a worthy representative of an outstanding patriotic family from Chameria, an outstanding democrat and professional lawyer, as well as an honored citizen of the friendliest country to Albanians in the world, the USA, could not help but visit what considers as a spiritual inspiration and a symbol of resistance in the face of life's fortunes, with which history has confronted us. Her thanks for what Dr. Berisha has done for Albania and the Albanians, as well as his immeasurable respect for the HOMELAND and the HOMELAND, were the main topics of their conversation in this fraternal meeting ", writes Mal Berisha.
But after the publication of this news, the association Vatra reacted, announcing that Nazo Veliu is no longer the general secretary of the association, and the Supreme Court in New York has condemned her to stay away from the association's headquarters.
" We clarify the public opinion and the interested media, that Mrs. Nazo Veliu is not only no longer the Secretary of the Federation 'Vatra', but since one year she has been unanimously expelled from Vatra, for continuous violations of the canon and laws of the USA and is currently in criminal proceedings in the Supreme Court of New York, through which Mrs. Nazo Veliu, along with several other individuals who are not members of 'Vatra', have been banned from participating and representing, for which the court has decided that they are excluded from all activities, functions and at the same time stay away from the headquarters of 'Vatra' in the Bronx, New York ", says Vatra's reaction.
