The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, has held his first media appearance after the closing of the voting process in this Sunday's elections. Berisha, in his speech, said that the bandits of Durres are trying to alter the election results.
During the conference, the opposition leader was asked whether the DP would accept the election results, a question to which Berisha did not give a definitive answer.
He said the public outing was to denounce the participation of gangs around the CEAZs. Berisha added that the DP commissioners have been instructed to protect every vote and that attempts to alienate it through gangs will fail.
" I am here to present to you and the public what is happening, and throughout the day we have documented all the illegal efforts made in all four corners of the country. But sending gangs to surround the CEAZ is a blatant attempt to influence the result. But this will not happen, as our commissioners have received clear and firm instructions. The responsibility for all of this lies with Edi Rama ," Berisha said.
