Parliamentary elections are being held on May 11, and beyond the closed list, the strongest competition is expected in what is considered the open list of parties or coalitions participating in the elections.
Beyond the competition between political entities, there also seems to be a competition within the parties themselves, as each candidate on the open list must secure preferential or personal votes to hope to have a seat in the new parliament.
Edith Harxhi, who is running on the open list of the Democratic Party, says that there are no restrictions on her campaign in the Tirana Region. Harxhi emphasized that despite being delegated to units 9 and 10 of Tirana, she has created her own electoral headquarters, with figures from the Democratic Party over the years, which enable her to campaign in all branches of the Democratic Party in the Tirana Region.
"I have held many meetings, precisely because I have brought together figures who have been part of the DP over the years. This gives me the opportunity to have meetings with citizens not only in what is considered the center of Tirana, but also in Kamëz, Rrogozhinë, Kavajë, as well as other areas of the Tirana district," Harxhi said on the show 'Log.'.
Asked if there is a chance that Berisha will visit the US, Harxhi said that based on the information she has, the democratic leader will travel to the US before the elections. “I believe that we will have a visit before May 11,” said Harxhi. She said that she bases this on her information.
