Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi, who is running on the closed list of the 'Greater Albania Alliance' coalition in the Fier district, has commented on the political situation in the country and his positioning on the safe list of candidates for MPs, a week before the official start of the electoral campaign.
For News24, Korreshi emphasized that his placement on the list did not come as an act of loyalty to the leader, but as an appreciation for his contribution within the DP.
"I was once an opponent of Mr. Berisha, but I am loyal to the DP. I feel appreciated for the work I have done and this contribution has been recognized," he said.
He also commented on the absence of Dashnor Sula on the list of candidates, emphasizing that he would have preferred to see that part of the race.
"I regret that Dashnor Sula was not part of the list. If it were up to me, he would be one of the preferences due to his qualities and contribution to the DP," said Korreshi.
