Benet Beci takes the oath, officially takes office as the mayor of Shkodra

Socialist Benet Beci was sworn in and officially took office as mayor of Shkodra.

In his first speech, Beci said that from today, a new wind starts for the municipality of Shkodra and its citizens.

"I will work as the first servant of Shkodra. Now is the time for a big change. Shkodra manages to catch the lost time. To anticipate the future," he said.

The Socialist Party managed to take Shkodra's municipality for the first time after 30 years of pluralism.

Benet Beci left behind the candidate of the "Bashkë Fitomje" coalition, Bardh Spahia, with a lead of about 10,000 votes.
