The deputy of the Democratic Party, Tritan Shehu, has reacted to the visit of the American Secretary of State the next day in Tirana, considering it very important.
According to Shehu, this visit comes at a very important moment when the region risks instability from interventions from the East.
"Especially in these dangerous moments for the Region, full of destabilizing interference from the East. Accompanied by provocations to "initiatives or projects" originating and driving from there, diametrically opposed to those of the EU. Deep deformations of democracy, the right to free vote in our country and these spaces! As a result of the strengthening in the Region of autocracies and autocrats of the eastern model, who are also destroying parliamentarism, they seek to appoint the opposition! Which undoubtedly become serious obstacles for our European and Western future. These clash not only with our existential interests, but also with those of the USA itself, its principles and values", writes Shehu in his reaction.
The MP goes on to say that this vision of Blinken in Albania should not be used for propaganda.
Sehu says that such an important visit should not be interpreted as a "goka" for Edi Rama.
"In sync with what I wrote, I would like to say to some "spokesmen" of the Government, that with their propaganda and false statements about this event... In fact, they reduce the true values of the important messages that they transmit. Because a visit of this level should not even be attempted to be interpreted, in fact it cannot even have the colors of a "head" or "decoration" for Rama and his government... As I am hearing with surprise some "courtiers" of the regime, seek to transform it", concludes Shehu.
