Former MP Halit Valteri has commented on the latest political developments in our country. In an interview for "SOT" newspaper, Valteri warns of strong developments for the corrupt couple, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhit, as well as for the entire management chain of LSI. He revealed new details from the investigations of their corruption files. The first to report the lobbying file in the USA was Halit Valteri, who revealed that the letters sent to the USA to obtain information about the lobbying contracts had arrived. He says that there was a strong clash between Meta and Kryemadhi because of the invoices, which were discovered by SPAK and BKH officers due to lobbying and the issue of Mrs. Kryemadhi's plastic surgery. The former deputy also stopped at the crimes that have recently "invaded" Albania. He emphasized that new blood is needed in the State Police, in the Prosecutor's Office, in the Judiciary and everywhere to have a better place. Regarding the "sinking" of former Prime Minister Berisha, he said that very soon we will have hundreds and thousands of embezzled money, which were stolen during the time when they exercised public functions like Sali Berisha and his relatives.
- Mr. Valteri, crime seems to be sitting "cross-legged" in Albania. Some killed and some wounded is the balance of these last days. Should the Minister of the Interior, the Director of the State Police and the management chain be held responsible?
The Minister of the Interior has just been appointed and this situation has nothing to do with him, but it has to do with various clashes, as it is not the first time such crimes have occurred. Of course, State Police leaders, heads of police stations, the entire State Police chain of command should be held accountable, but the minister has nothing to do with this situation as he has not been in this position for a month yet. The police are working, the police have solved various incidents, but this is not the first time such crimes have occurred in Albania. This also happens as a result of the interceptions of "ENCRO CHAT" and "SKY EC", which are being carried out, where various criminal groups have learned from the information that has been spread about various betrayals or clashes they have had with each other.
- For months, it has been said that the State Police has been incriminated, even many high-ranking and effective police leaders have appeared in the wiretapping of "Encro Chat" and "SKY EÇ" that cooperate with organized crime. How can the policy be cleared of incriminated persons?
It is very simple, those who will appear in the wiretapping will appear before justice. This is something that the mafia has always had its tentacles spread, either in justice, or in the police, in all instances of the state. There is no state and no government that does not have organized crime and the mafia that has entered and tries to make for itself different exponents of the police or the Court or the instances of the state. The task is to find out, investigate and bring them to justice. We definitely need new blood in the State Police, in the Prosecutor's Office, in the Judiciary and everywhere to have a better Albania.
- SPAK has issued 30 arrest warrants against exponents of organized crime, do you think that at the beginning of the season, the Special Prosecutor's Office will pass the blows in the political sphere, given that crime has strong ties to politics?
Anyone who is connected to crime, has made money from organized crime, from public tenders, anyone who has placed his function that is mandated by the citizens and has placed his function in the function of crime, in the function of simple people have extorted the state budget and used this power to pay back, they must be punished by the new justice system.
- Why Ilir Meta has recently become scared and started threatening SPAK again. He even said that Altin Dumani is blocking the bank accounts? Is the former president warning of the seizure of his corrupt assets?
Ilir Meta is a political victim who is in his last throes, who knows very well what he has done, he knows very well where the roof of the house he built, which is sometimes called LSI and sometimes PL, leaks. He knows very well that in the 33 years of transition in Albania he has held the highest management positions and has used these positions to benefit economically and to raise his family corporation and to maintain his 'status quo' for always been part of the government. Today we have a justice which is investigating him and this is clearly shown by his loss of calmness, in the attacks on justice, in the attacks on various offices and our allies in the United States installed in Albania. Ilir Meta is right at the end and I don't know what SPAK is still waiting for when the facts and evidence are on the table and they shout the loudest that the former president is the most incriminated person that Albanian politics has had in over 100 thousand years.
-To your knowledge, how are the investigations into the issue of money lobbying for Ilir Meta and do you think that soon we will see the shackles breaking after the investigations being carried out by SPAK?
To my knowledge, the letters that were sent to the US to obtain information about lobbying contracts have arrived. They are being investigated by SPAK prosecutors and BKH officers, and I think that before the end of the three-year investigation period of the case, we will have a result. I think that not only Ilir Meta but the entire management chain of LSI, who signed the lobbying contracts of that time, will be brought to justice and will face a charge that will be decided by SPAK prosecutors, which will life.
- On the other hand, regarding the assumption of separation with Mrs. Kryemadhi, was this just a ploy to spread rumors and on the other hand to gain time to hide the corrupt assets?
I don't know if it is a political or economic divorce that they have with each other, but as far as I know, there is a strong clash due to the bills, which SPAK and BKH officers have discovered due to lobbying and the issue of Mrs. Kryemadhi's plastic surgery. So let's wait in the coming days to see what will happen and how the most infamous couple in Albania will argue that they have wasted the stolen money of Albanians.
- That's it, Mr. Berisha, who is postponing the confrontation with justice after the speeches given from the balcony of the apartment, is not left behind, is the SPAK investigation continuing at a slow pace regarding the "Partizani" case, what news are expected to bring the former prime minister to justice the doors of justice?
Every file that is under investigation, in the verification phase, I have full confidence that we will have proven hundreds and thousands of embezzled money that was stolen during the time when they exercised public functions like Sali Berisha and his relatives. So, let's leave it to justice and wait for the results.
- The opposition continues to be divided. How do you see the situation and should the opposition and all parties be together as the only way to overthrow the government?
I am sorry because a country without an opposition produces an irresponsible majority, a majority that has no one to ask for responsibility but very simple monopolization of the opposition by the Meta and Berisha family, not allowing it to continue and have a united opposition who produce a new leader and new policies to challenge the government and point out the government's mistakes, have brought this opposition which has been trapped in front of the Municipality of Tirana by left-wing exponents connected with the power to harm the mayor, rivaled him and once he was stuck on the balcony where Berisha cleaned every day, talking to him about the imaginary victories they will reap against Mr. Rama./ TODAY
