Sali Berisha has extended his hand to Edi Rama for another bargain at the expense of justice reform. After the pact to end the parliamentary chaos and the one for the electoral reform, Berisha seems to have now reached the real goal.
Edi Rama created the famous "Xhafaj" commission with the aim of changing the reform laws and organizing the constitutional bodies. However, it seems that Berisha does not trust this commission and has put forward the theory of a new commission, with the aim of a total review of the justice reform. It even seems that this will be part of the promises before the 2025 elections.
The statement was made yesterday evening from the balcony, where it seems to be a kind of invitation for the majority. Berisha knows that no party can change the reform, as 84 votes are required. And his statement seems to smell bad, since it is not surprising that he is negotiating the alienation of reform, at a time when the American ambassador has not yet arrived.
" The creation of the truth commission is the only way to take radiographs, so that Dumanër, Gjoka, judges, criminal prosecutors cannot hide from the Albanian citizens the ugly crimes of their deputies, their ministers, the prime minister of theirs. Only the creation of a truth commission that will be an integral part of the PD program will be able to definitively separate Albania from the world of state-government crime today ," said Berisha.
It remains to be seen what will be the movement of the democrats, will we have a merger with the Xhafaj commission, or will a new commission be required. Until now, the opposition has boycotted the commission, but from Monday politics returns to normality and it seems that the democrats have come up with new ideas. / Pamphlet
