The chairman of FRPD, Besard Xhaferri, has reacted after the DASH report that has strongly criticized the Albanian government for the way it selects investors.
Xhaferri has stated that in the investment climate report for 2023, DASH says that the law has not attracted foreign investments, as out of 52 projects, which have received the status of strategic investment, only 2 are foreign.
One of the conditions that an entrepreneur in Albania must meet to receive the status of a strategic investor is money from crime and corruption, and this fact has alarmed the US State Department, which has strongly criticized the Albanian government for the way it select investors.
In the investment climate report for 2023, DASH says that the law has not attracted foreign investments, as out of 52 projects, which have received the status of strategic investment, only 2 are foreign. Among the strategic investors is Pëllumb Gjoka, located under investigation for serious criminal events.
Among the strategic investors are also underworld barons who operate from Latin America to Dubai.
The chief strategic investor is Edi Rama.', he says in his reaction.
