Dashamir Shehi is separated from Berisha and Basha: They haven't given a

Disappointed by the traditional allies of the opposition, the head of LZHK Dashamir Shehi, has joined Ekrem Spahina, the chairman of the Legality Movement Party to run in the parliamentary elections of 2025.

During the speech held at the National Council of LZHK for the election preparations, Shehi expressed strong criticism against the opposition coalition with DP and LSI, who, according to him, have considered it as an enterprise for their own troubles.

"We spent 2 and a half years, once I found out who is the first in this group, then who is the second, then who is the friend of the Americans, who is the enemy of the Russians. We have two and a half years with this work, what is the situation in Albania, the citizens have, they haven't thought about it at all."

The head of the LZHK clarified why he decided to separate from his traditional allies and what distinguishes him from them, and as the first point he listed the obligation for a normal parliamentary life, considering the opposition's fight so far lost.

He was also critical of the position on the electoral reform.

"These gentlemen want to insert the reform into a negotiation between party groups, the chairman of this, the chairman of that, empty talk. Until now I have not heard a clear idea, a decided idea, whether they want to change the system or not, and I am afraid that they do not intend to change it".

He and the LZHK differed from their former allies in their attitude towards the new institutions of justice.

"There are cities that don't have courts, there are districts that don't have prosecutors. This is the problem that citizens face when they only face their own problems. It doesn't matter who SPAK will arrest tomorrow morning."

It is for these reasons that Shehi said that the journey to the 2025 elections will be separate from the other opposition parties. In the national council, shehi reiterated his position regarding the electoral reform, for which he said that LZHK demands open lists, electronic voting and the vote of the diaspora.

While as a projection of the election program of LZHK, he listed three main points for the development of the economy, focusing on the industrialization of the country, massive investments in agriculture and the pension system. Hoping to be the winner, Dashamir Shehi said that LZHK will change the Constitution for the political system, for the balance of power and the administrative reform.
