The head of the PDIU, Shpëtim Idrizi supports the return of the old coalitions, while the SP and Rithemelimi are sitting at the table for changes to the Electoral Code at the request of the opposition for the return of the coalitions. For Idrizi, it is still not clear whose side he will line up for the 2025 parliamentary elections.
The coalitions between the opposition parties have not crystallized, leaving still in question what the political alliances will be in front of Edi Rama, but Idrizi did not rule out the possibility of competing in this single election.
"The electoral code forces you in a certain way to be with one of the parties. It is an option to go out on your own, there is not yet a front, whether oppositional. It's a discussion process, it's not enough for a mechanical union of some parties and figures, but we have to give answers to the citizens about why we want to come to power and what we'll do better", said Idrizi on Report TV".

I cannot choose the captains of other teams. I understand that in the conditions we are in, mechanical union is not enough for us, we must go beyond ourselves even to that gray area. We need a new team and a more realistic program", said Idrizi.
